Hello & Welcome, 

Change can be difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone. I am no stranger to change. From my 13+ years working as a helping professional, I have learned the importance of having support with achieving goals. 

After working for several years counselling clients with addiction concerns, I took the leap to enter the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University, which I completed this year. The decision to become a Registered Psychotherapist came as it is my desire to support individuals on a deeper therapeutic level. With experience as a counsellor, I am able to provide the space to uncover the knowledge and wisdom that already lies within you to problem solve and create a concrete plan for change! 

I work using a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy approach, which is collaborative and goal oriented focusing on connecting thoughts, feelings and behaviours, while providing concrete tools to enhance your ability to healthily manage recurring patterns. Your time with me will also allow for Narrative Therapy where you can share your story, as our experiences in life have shaped and influenced how we view the world and ourselves. With my support, this provides the opportunity to reflect on your strengths while challenging unhealthy beliefs in order to live your life fully. Intertwining Cognitive-Behavioural and Narrative Therapies helps to shift your mindset from negative to positive, thus increasing your self-esteem, confidence and overall well being. 

I am also thrilled to be completing my EMDR certification and will be offering EMDR therapy effective May 1, 2025.
